Technical High School Admissions
Testing Information
All applicants for admission to a Technical High School MUST take an assessment to determine literacy and numeracy skills. Registration for the tests are done ONLINE ONLY. Registration can be via any tech school website. Click the “Admissions” tab. Register early, as some locations and times will fill up quickly.
*Your application will not be complete until you have taken this assessment!!*
You may take the test at any school site. You do not have to take the test at the school where you have applied. The following is a list of test dates at Platt Tech (Milford) and Eli Whitney (Hamden).
Platt Tech:
Saturday November 5 9am
Tuesday, November 15 8am, 10:30am, 3 pm
Wednesday, November 16 8am, 10:30am
Thursday, November 17 8am, 10:30am, 3 pm
Eli Whitney:
Wednesday, November 2 9am, 1pm
Wednesday, November 9 1pm, 3pm
Wednesday, November 16 1pm
Saturday, December 3 9am
*You may choose to take the test at another site. Test dates are listed on the admissions tab on each website as well.
